Fermynwoods gallery in rural Northamptonshire has commissioned an audio tour to link the gallery with nearby Lyveden Newbuild. In collaboration with musical maestros, Bathysphere, we have set to sound the forgotten stories of the nearby woodland. HIDDEN TRACKS takes place under the Watch This Space banner and is a collaboration between MBD and Bathysphere. Participants armed with an MP3 player and a map will be guided through a 2 mile walk and encouraged to stop along the way at a number of prominent (and not so prominent) landmarks. Each break in the journey will be accompanied by a soundscape that captures the sights, sounds and stories attached to that space. From historical burial sites to days of woodland play, fermynwoods audio tour will capture the rich history of a rural village through a contemporary tapestry of artistic techniques. And if the art doesn't do it for you, then we can still thoroughly recommend the walk.
