Welcome to the latest edition of the MBD Newsletter. - The Good News Newsletter……

Well, MBD have been mainly working on the audio tour for Snibston Discovery Park. This project is now complete and available to the public so please pop along to Snibston, pick up a map and an mp3 player and discover the country park and nature reserve. You can find directions via the following link, and the tour will be available for the foreseeable future. www.leics.gov.uk/museums/snibston

We also spent some time on our new workspace and the good news is we now have racking, a letterbox and a flower bed in our urinal. All essential as I'm sure you would agree.

MBD also took a number of workshops at Leicester College, Groby College and delivered a creative debating session at the Young People’s Creative Agency conference. As well as all of that we have some wonderful news so please read on and get ready to put some dates in your diary……..

HANSEL AND GRETEL AUDIO TRAIL

WITHOUTWALLS is a consortium of eight of the UK's most strategically significant street arts festivals and METRO-BOULOT-DODO’s Hansel and Gretel project has been chosen to be part of the 2009/ 2010 tour. This is fantastic news and we are all rather excited. Dates so far confirmed are Xtrax Manchester 6th – 8th June and Greenwich and Docklands Festival 27th and 28th June. We will keep you posted on all future dates and would once again like to thank Fermynwoods Contemporary Art for originally commissioning this piece of work.

WATCH THIS SPACE – LYVEDEN - 5th and 6th November 2009

Our sister company Watch This Space will be working with Fermynwoods Contemporary Art and National Trust with support from Arts Council England to create an evening spectacle at the National Trust property, Lyveden New Bield. The evening will draw on the lives of Thomas and Francis Tresham, one-time owners of Lyvden, who were caught up in the gunpowder plot of 1605. Throughout September and October WTS will be working with schools and community groups who will be actively involved in the final performance. WTS are so excited about this project, please put the date in your diary and visit the web site below
