	Happy Christmas to the metro mailing list. Ho Ho Ho. After a hectic summer of touring, MBD went straight to work creating a large scale outdoor performance for their sister company, Watch This Space. Lyveden New Bield: Gun Powder, Treason and Plot was one of our most successful events to date. The two nights sold out in days and even with increased capacity we were beating people off with a stick. And as the event took place on bonfire night we had to throw in some fireworks and enjoy the gasps of awe from our assembled audience. Why not check out the photos on our facebook site and look out for the video, which will soon be posted on our You Tube site. Maybe it could happen again next year...... we'll keep you posted. Thanks again to National Trust, Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, Arts Council England, East Northamptonshire Council, Cultural Community Partnerships, Brigstock Primary School and Kingswood School for making this possible.

	But that was then and this is now. The arty grapevine works pretty quickly but if you haven't heard the news, there will be two baby metros joining the world next year (aaaaahhhh!!!). Obviously we will have them in metro bibs attending the work as soon as possible but in the meantime there is no chance of keeping us quiet in 2010. Below is what we’ll be up to in December this year and some of our plans for 2010….

			WINTER In Oakham MBD will be presenting WINTER in Oakham as part of the Christmas events in Rutland 2009. The installation will be outside Oakham Castle on Sat 12th December 11am – 18.00, Sun 13th December 11.00 – 18.00, and Mon 14th December 11.00 – 21.00. So why not grab some last minute Christmas presents and maybe a mince pie in Oakham whilst sampling a free piece of art. 			Whisper’s From A Rickshaw MBD have started working on their new street art piece, "Whisper’s From A Rickshaw", which will be available from April 2010. It's all early days so we’re still deep in discussions. But below is what we know so far…. MBD has been commissioned to create “Whispers from a Rickshaw” by the Igniting Ambition Program in the East Midlands. “Whispers from a Rickshaw” will be an intimate street arts experience featuring stunning audio, an intriguing narrative, beautiful artwork and a dizzying ride around a city. 			Hansel and Gretel Audio Trail to tour again in 2010 METRO-BOULOT-DODO will be touring their hugely popular Hansel and Gretel performance tour to street arts festivals next summer. This year the piece was part of the Withoutwalls tour, gaining a fabulous review in The Guardian and amusing audiences wherever it played. "Metro-boulot-dodo's Hansel and Gretel takes you away from the crowds and into secret places as you don headphones and go on a physical and audio journey into the heart of the fairytale, as the cast of characters tell you their side of the story. 				NIGHTSCENE TOUR METRO-BOULOT-DODO are marking their return to the theatre with a new piece of work which continues to push the boundaries of theatrical convention. NIGHTSCENE is an interactive performance suitable for flexible studio spaces, bars and intimate nightclubs. In just 90 minutes the audience is treated to a series of performances whilst the crew shoot, edit and premiere a 10-minute film with the audience playing the role of extras. Nightscene is available to tour in Autumn 2010 and Spring 2011.
