Welcome to the September edition of the MBD Newsletter.

It has been 2 months since your first newsletter from METRO-BOULOT-DODO so we think it's about time for a catch up.

We have decided that MBD news letters will be bi-monthly so we don't bombard you on a daily basis with information you don't want. If anything extraordinarily exciting crops up then we may sneak in an extra e-mail but otherwise we hope you continue to find this service unobtrusive yet informative. Feedback is welcome.

On with the news!

Another busy couple of months has passed and we have continued to beaver away at all sorts of exciting and innovative art experiences. I'm sure just reading about our escapades is excitement enough for one day, but do make sure that you also try to come along and see the work when you can.

WINTER continues

WINTER was presented at Stockton International Riverside Festival from 31st July – 3rd August. An estimated 1600 people experienced WINTER free of charge over the course of the weekend. As ever we had a great time in Stockton and were pleased to be part of another exciting programme of work. Thanks goes out to the whole SIRF team (www.sirf.co.uk).

WINTER will be presented by our final commissioner, CURVE (Leicester), in either October or November. Dates are still up in the air so we will keep you posted. Also keep your eyes peeled for the opening season of Leicesters new theatre later this year (www.curveonline.co.uk)

METRO-BOULOT-DODO gratefully acknowledge financial support from Arts Council England and the PRS Foundation. WINTER was commissioned by Winchester Hat Fair, Stockton International Riverside Festival & CURVE (Leicester)

Hansel and Gretel Audio Tour

Fermynwoods Contemporary Art has commissioned METRO-BOULOT-DODO to create a performance audio tour based on the children’s story, Hansel and Gretel. Members of the public will take a walk through the Northamptonshire countryside whilst listening to the audio tour and encountering performers and installations en-route. The day also includes a witches picnic and its final destination is at Sudborough Green Lodge cottages where visual artist Richard Woods has covered the building in a daring retro design.

Performance dates are 26th October, 1st November and 9th November. For booking details please contact Fermynwoods Contemporary Art on 01536 373469. For more information on Fermynwoods Contemporary Art please visit. www.fermynwoods.co.uk
