Back from Singapore

What a busy, exhausting but inspiring week it's been. Creating a show at The Esplanade Theatre is pretty cool. The week we were there Russell Watson was performing in the Concert Hall, which reminded me of our first ever gig in Goole where the previous act to grace the stage was Brian Blessed, what can I say we tend to follow or proceed the true greats of British performers.....The Esplanade Centre has a 2000 capacity theatre, 1600 capacity concert hall, recital rooms, black box theatre, rehearsal rooms, a visual art gallery, an outdoor theatre, rehearsal rooms, library, a roof garden, a shopping mall, numerous restaurants and many many more spaces so it is pretty perfect for a new version of Communication Breakdown.

So the week involved Paul and I working with the lovely Christie Chua from the Flipside Festival and the enigmatic Jonathan Lim who is a Singaporean artist. We ate a lot, talked a lot and walk around the Esplande A LOT until finally we came up with a route that our treasure hunt will take and the story our audience will follow. So now we're back in England to create the majority of the material and then we're back in Singapore a week before the festival to complete the project. We'll keep you posted on exact dates and times.
