With only a week to go, our latest project 2,241 REASONS TO REMEMBER has had a fantastic feature on ITV CENTRAL featuring the community engagement program which has involved Sophie Handy a Birmingham lantern specialist going into schools to create the 2,241 lanterns required to represent the number of Birmingham citizens who tragically lost their lives. MBD has also had the pleasure of working with Highly Sprung on this project, who have delivered a range of physical theatre workshops in Birmingham schools on the Birmingham Blitz. More Details will follow on the launch event, so watch this space! http://www.itv.com/news/central/update/2015-11-11/schools-build-poignant-artwork-for-birmingham-blitz/

MBD has been commissioned by the Birmingham Hippodrome to commemorate 75 years of the Birmingham Blitz next month with a specially commissioned illumination which will carry the names of all of the people who died in the devastating bombing in the city during WW2.
We are calling out to everyone to help make 2,241 lanterns that will be an integral part of the installation.

2,241 lives were lost in bombing raids in Birmingham in the Second World War. This November, Birmingham Hippodrome and the award winning arts organisation Metro-Boulot-Dodo will present an evocative and emotive illumination that will commemorate the Birmingham Blitz.
Using archival photographs, newsreel footage and a wealth of Government Information posters, 2,241 Reasons To Remember promises to be a spectacular and dramatic illumination event which will ask the people of Birmingham to listen, to remember and to never forget.

The Gunpowder Plot returns for a third year after the sell out success of our 2014 event. Join us for a Bonfire Night with a difference this year at Boughton House. A great night out for all the family in one of Northamptonshire's most spectacular stately homes. Early evening entertainment sets the atmosphere for a spectacular performance created by award winning, Metro-Boulot-Dodo.
