Kidderminster Music Trail

We had a great couple of days in Kidderminster last week working on a bit of R+D for a new project that will be apart of KAF Arts​ in 2016. It's celebrating the amazing music heritage of Kidderminster from the rock gods of Robert Plant and John Bonham right through to the electronic talents of Quantic.

Working with Beacons

It was great to spend a day with the entire team working on the NESTA R+D project today at Leicester Castle. The Locly guys came down to Leicester and we started to test the strength of the beacons in situ and the great news is that it all looks good to go. We're back in the studio tomorrow working on the tracks, exciting stuff...

SITE VISIT BIRMINGHAM

Its a week of site visits this week, Paul and i went back to a few of the Birmingham Museum Trusts sites to finalise ideas before we present next week. It was a beautiful day which bodes well and Aston Hall, Blakesley Hall and Sarehole Mill all looked splendid in the sunshine. Now all we need to do it write the presentation.

FIELD TRIP TO BANGOR

The artistic team headed over to Bangor to meet up with our technical partners on the NESTA R+D project. Locly have created an ibeacon tour of The National Slate Museum which was great to see in action. We then spent some time exploring creative ideas for the tour at Leicester castle and some really exciting ways of how to trigger those ibeacons..

INTERVIEWS AT THE CASTLE

This week I'm interviewing a whole range of people who worked at Leicester Castle when it was known as Leicester Castle Courts. It's been absolutely fascinating talking to retired policemen, court clarks, court ushers, probation officers and journalist. The interviews will be edited down and used in the final tour, just the12 hours of interviews to edit..
