Call ME - When you get here opened at Pazz Festival on the 21st April and so far so good. This is its first phase of development and the first time MBD have created an app as part of an artistic experience so its all a learning curve. The response from the public has been really positive, people seem to really relate to the subject matter and particularly enjoy the final destination and final task. As you can see I'm being a bit cryptic but I'm keen not to give too much away.

Paul Eric and Esther arrived at The Pazz Festival this week to put the final touches to MBD's new show Call Me- When you get here which opens on Saturday April 21st from 4pm - 8pm. Presented as a PAZZ IN PROGRESS our first ever run through will take place tomorrow on Thursday so lets hope our theatrical guinea pigs don't get too lost... and we don't have to change too much before the public are let loose on the new show this Saturday. MBD have been working incredibly hard that we've not actually announced the very exciting news that we'll be presenting a new show at PAZZ Festival in Oldenburgh, Germany from the 20th - 29th April.Below is a bit of copy all about it...

At the end of 2011, there were an estimated 6 billion mobile subscriptions. That is equivalent to 87 percent of the world population.

Stacked in shipping containers, every phone starts empty, no contacts, no messages. But the moment your phone becomes active it starts to store your memories on its memory. You choose your ring tone, your screen saver, your address book grows, your photos are stored and the life of your phone becomes a reflection of your own. Soon it becomes your link to the world, a place where you hear and read about moments both mundane and momentous.

As part of PAZZ 2012, metro-boulot-dodo delve deeper into a generation's addiction to instant communication. In an age where texts, tweets, pokes, wall posts or (occasionally) a good old fashioned phone call have become an integral part of our everyday lives, MBD asks the question: Is it really life or death?
